Tim's Atlanta Real Estate Blog: CBS News Forgets a Candidate. Can You Trust These Guys?

CBS News Forgets a Candidate. Can You Trust These Guys?

On Thursday morning CBS News had a story about the Republican Primaries from New Hampshire.

You can watch the whole video below.  But this screen shot says it all.  There's a candidate that they didn't include in the results of a poll that they showed.  This candidate was in 2nd place in this poll with 14%.  This candidate came in a strong third in Iowa with 22% of the vote vs. 25% for the two winners.

Watch the complete 3 minute news report.  They do not mention this candidate's name nor show any picture of him.  But they do show some video of Rick Perry who is not campaigning in New Hampshire and they do show some video of Michelle Bachmann who dropped out of the race the previous day.

It's not like this guy isn't attracting huge crowds in New Hampshire.  Here are two events that he had there.  That's a lot of people. It would be hard not to notice such large crowds.

So it makes you ask the question.  Are they incompetent or do they have an agenda and want to try to do what they can to keep this candidate from succeeding?  Remember, in the last debate that CBS hosted, they let this guy speak for all of 89 seconds during the entire 2 hour debate.  Is there a pattern here?

The bottom line is, what else aren't they telling us?  Keep that in mind everytime you watch these "legitimate" news organizations.

P.S.  CBS isn't alone.  Here is a post I did about ABC News distorting the news about an event this guy did.  My mission is to keep track of these stories in order to expose the lies and distortions that they put out.  Once enough people become aware of this stuff, maybe they might feel compelled to give us the truth.

Here's another segment CBS did on Friday.  A twelve minute discussion on the New Hampshire primary where and not a single mention of this guy.

Here's CBS the moring of the election with this guy polling at 18%.  Not a mention

On Sunday this guy had a huge turnout in the little town of Meredith NH.  How can a news organization not mention someone getting these kinds of crowds?

This is because:

a) Ron Paul is not really a Republican.  He is a Libertarian, having run as the Libertarian presidental candidate in 2000.

b) He is a wack job.  Sure, some of Mr. Paul's policies are very interesting, but many of them are just plain weird, and certainly not conservative.

c) He is a Neo-isolationist, wanting the U.S. to drop off the international scene.  This is just plain silly.

d) The mainstream media, when they do, are only using Dr. Paul's candidacy as a hitting stick for conservatives.

e) After all those ears in the Congress, Mr. Paul has NEVER gained any support for his policies and has never authored and passed any serious legislation.

Hope this helps;

William, this isn't about what you think about this candidate. This is about the media controlling the news and distorting it. So I guess it's ok for the media to pick our candidates and decide who should be chosen? Go back and listen to the campaign speeches of Reagan in 1980 and those of Bush in 2000. You'll see that they sure sound a lot like Ron Paul. Unfortunately the neoconservatives infiltrated and now we have big government conservatives. In the Repuplican party. Whack job, weied? That's how they want you to perceive him. It makes it easy to then justify not listening to what he actually says. I challenge you to listen to his concession speech last night and tell me what is so weird. The main stream media is ignoring Ron Paul because they are afraid of him getting people to understand what is actually going on. It's hard to change 100 years of government ignoring the Constitution. You can't make real change until people decide on what the proper role of government is. This takes time and it takes education.

Tim - They are either marginalizing him or ignoring him altogether, that's for sure.  But the voters are not.  And I just love when somebody like Glenn Beck thinks anyone is off their rocker ... kind of like poop telling puke it smells bad.

I like Paul, though I probably won't be voting for him.
