I stumbled upon a site that is very much like Zillow. Instead of only 70 million homes, CyberHomes.com has 100 million homes. It is part of Fidelity National Informations Services. One of the MLS systems in Atlanta, GAMLS.com, now has each listing linked to it's particular page in cyberhomes.com.
I found that the estimates are better than what Zillow has in Atlanta right now, but they are still quite a bit off. The one thing I do like is that they give a range in the estimate so you can have a feeling how wide the margin of error might be.
They have some great statistics and all kinds of good looking graphs that one might want to incorporate into a listing presentation.
They have a small library of articles. There are just a few so far but they were very informative. Here's one of the best articles I've read about how one might try to predict what's going to happen to home prices in the future.
I also learned that there are 13 states that are non-disclosure states. Apparently you can't disclose the sales information in these states. So prices for homes in these states aren't included.
I'm curious to see how the estimates for CyberHomes compares with Zestimates in your local area.

I'm in Missouri and home sale prices are a matter of public record here? I will check the site out though....

Tim,
Very worth information that you found, I mean for the website or link, thanks for that and thanks for your research done, I am happy because I am on the disclosure state :) so I do not have to worry about that.
Tim, keep the good work my friend, I keep looking for your blogs :)
Tim, ooh that's a good question for bryant tutas ,
Tim,
Thanks for the link... I, like most folks reading this, went straight to my own home... Found it to have the same incorrect data the county has, but otherwise, the graphs are nice. If we keep in mind a 15-25% margin of error, we can use these sites to illustrate to clients why we have value. Not appraisal type value, (those folks are the gods of valuation!) but just market style value.
Again, thanks!
Tim,
Interesting to hear that Cyberhomes has better data than Zillow in Atlanta. Cyberhomes has a lot of horsepower and industry connections with Fidelity Real Estate Solutions behind them. Thanks for the update.
Hi Tim,
At our Keller Williams Partner's meeting today, we had a Cyberhomes representive speaking about their website and all the features. Forntunely, for Keller Williams agents will be able to have our listing automatically feed to Cyberhomes and on September 1st we should be able to link it to our websites. I looked up a property that I will be interviewing with about listing their property. The estimate range on cyberhomes was within the same estimated price the appraiser told the seller. It sounds like the perfect fit plus a right listing tool. Best of all, it's free!
I setlled on my home a year and a half ago, and cyberhomes has the value still at the lot price only, and the location in the wrong spot. Zillow also has it in the wrong spot, and the aerial photo of the neighborhood as it looked about a year and a half ago too, but the zestimate is close to the price we paid to have it built, about 700,000 more than Cyberhomes estimate. big difference. I am in maryland.
In California they are comparable - check out the tool that allows you to put Cyberhomes on your site. CyberhomesPro.com allows you to get a smart frame or the api to use
